Welcome to Wiglo Kennels

August 2010: * Jenna and Balto have had 2 georgeous puppies! They had 2 red and white girls on the 4th of August. Check out the litters page for more info and photos as they grow.
March 2010: * Unfortunately Magic only had one tiny puppy who didn't survive, we will hopefully try for another litter with her later in the year.
February 2010: * We start 2010 off with a mixture of happy and sad news. Firstly the good news! We are expecting puppies, we have bred Magic to Gr Ch Beauideal Rock On J.D and are expecting puppies late March, see the litters page for more info!; * And now the sad news, we had to say goodbye to Toby this month. He was a great dog who had a fantastic life with us and we are sad to no longer have him with us. Rest In Peace Toby.
August 2009: * Earlier in the month we had to say goodbye to Shadow. Her fight with IMT combined with several other problems and after her death we also found out she had an agressive form of cancer that she would never have been able to survive. We had many great years with her and she will forever be treasured and remembered. She is the first Wiglo Border Collie from the first litter and all our current Wiglo Borders are related to her and her memory will live on through those dogs. Rest In Peace beautiful girl.
2 April 2009: * Yet more sad news for us, today Shadow was diagnosed with immune Mediated thrombocytopania (IMT) which is an immune deficiency disease. She will be on medication for this and will require regular blood tests for the next few months. This disease has ended her trialling career as any bump could cause her to start bleeding internally. We are glad that she is still with us and hope that there won't be any more bad news for us this year.
March 2009: * More bad news for us, Balto was bitten by a snake early in the month and spent a few days at the vets. He is recovering now and we're lucky that he's still with us.
17 January 2009: * It is with sadness that we post our first news for the year. Today we quite suddenly and unexpectedly lost Dallas. Rest in Peace girl.
21 September 2008: * It was Tableland's Dog Obedience Club's big double trial this weekend, a huge weekend with plenty of people getting qualifies. Shadow did a great job too getting TWO Strategic Pairs qualifies which finished off her TITLE!!!
14 September 2008: * We went to Cairns this weekend and were roped into competing in Open Jumpers despite the fact that Shadow had only been entered in Open Agility. She ended up getting to qualifies in Open Jumpers and none in Open Agility!!!
24 August 2008: * First trial back after the babies and my trip to Brisbane and Shadow gets another leg towards her strategic pairs title! Only one more to go now!!!
30 July 2008: * All puppies have now gone to their new homes. We have kept two puppies, Sam (puppy 4) and Jenna (puppy 5), they now have their own pages.
25 July 2008: * 7.5 week old photos uploaded.
11 July 2008: * 6 week old photos of puppies uploaded.
2 July 2008: * Photos of puppies at 5 weeks old uploaded.
26 June 2008: * Photos uploaded of puppies at 4 weeks old.
18 June 2008: * Photos of puppies at 3 weeks old uploaded. We have one black and white boy still available from this litter
11 June 2008: * Photos of puppies at 2 weeks olds uploaded; * Shadow almost managed a qualify in Open Agility on the weekend, that distance control part can be quite challenging!
6 June 2008: * We lost the red/white boy this morning quite unexpectedly, the rest of the litter is going great!
3 June 2008: * Individual photos of puppies at one week old uploaded.
28 May 2008: * We have babies, Calli had her puppies in the early hours of this morning. Check out the litters page for more details!
17 May 2008: * Shadow gained her first pass in Strategic Pairs, this was a first for us and it's amazing that we didn't get lost on the course!
24 April 2008: * We have a confirmed litter from Calli due in late May or early June. Please see our litters page for more information.
1 February 2008: * The trial/show season doesn't start until March up here in North Queensland so it's been a little quiet over the past few months! We're looking forward to another great year of competition!
1 January 2008: * Happy New Year!
2007 Overview: * It's been a great year for us with Shadow completing both of her masters agility titles on the same weekend. This now means that Roel is able to receive his full agility judging license for all classes of agility and games!; * We also were recently informed of Larrikin (Wiglo Golden Glow, out of litter 4) gaining his CD title this year. This is the first Wiglo dog that we ourselves don't own that has gone into a competition home and gained a title! We are soo thrilled for Mary and Larrikin!; * The trials are all over for the next few months and we'll be using this time to hopefully get our house up on our property and finally move out of the shed! We will post photos of the process over the next few months!; * We are looking forward to 2008, with Brandy to hopefully start competing in Open, some more shows for Magic and possibly some training/trialling for her too. And there is always the possibility of a new pup in there somewhere!
30 September 2007: Shadow finished both her Masters Agility and Masters Jumpers Titles this weekend at Ingham! We had hoped to get at least one of these titles this year but to finish both on the same weekend is just fantastic!!!
23 September 2007: Shadow gained another qualify in Masters Jumpers on the weekend
9 September 2007: Another qualify in Masters Agility and Masters Jumpers for Shadow over the weekend at Ingham! She now has 6 Qualifies in Masters Agility and 5 in Masters Jumpers!!!
2 September 2007: Shadow gained another qualify in both Masters Agility and Masters Jumping over the weekend!
July 2007: * Our brand new website launched!; * Shadow gets another qualify in Masters Agility at Tablelands Dog Obedience Club! She narrowly missed quals on all her other runs. She now has 3 legs towards both her masters agility and jumpers titles; * LG has a new home. We were recently contacted by the owner of Trix (our foundation bitch) and found out that Trix has sadly passed on of old age. Her owner was looking for a new dog and LG was a perfect fit for him. We think she'll have a great time at her new home with lots of individual attention!
